(Photo: NDO)</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p style="text-align:justify">Keeping up with the global green tourism trend as well as meeting the increasing demand of domestic and international tourists, accommodation establishments across Vietnam have made great efforts towards the development of sustainable tourism.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The survey by Booking.com showed that more than 5,000 providers of accommodation in Vietnam out of a total of more than 550,000 in the world have been recognised for their sustainable practices and received the sustainable tourism badge on the Booking.com platform.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The 5,000 are spread across the country, of which these 10 destinations in Vietnam have the largest number: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Vung Tau, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Quy Nhon, Phu Quoc and Ha Long.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Sustainable practices most commonly practiced by in Vietnam include providing reusable towels, allowing the option of not cleaning the room every day and having water-efficient bathrooms.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Notably, the application of sustainable activities is not only conducted in high-end resorts and large hotels but also in small hotels and homestays across Vietnam.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Around the globe, other leading sustainable factors include the elimination of plastic straws and cups as well as the installation of double-glazed windows.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Varun Grover, country director of Booking.com in Vietnam, said Vietnamese tourists have paid much attention to sustainable travel. According to the latest report on sustainable tourism in 2023 by Booking.com, 97% of them expressed their desire to travel in a more sustainable manner over the next 12 months, he added.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">https://en.nhandan.vn/</p> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p>
