<p style="text-align:justify">(TITC) - Receiving the invitation from President of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has started his official visit to Vietnam from 20th to 22nd August 2023.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">On 21st August, President Vo Van Thuong, and his Kazakhstan counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev witnessed the signing ceremony of an agreement on visa exemptions for ordinary passport holders of both countries.</p> <p style="text-align:justify"><a href="https://images.vietnamtourism.gov.vn/en//images/2023/songphuong.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="https://images.vietnamtourism.gov.vn/en//images/2023/songphuong.jpg" /></a></p> <p style="text-align:center"><em>Leaders witnessed the signing ceremony of an agreement on visa exemption for holders of ordinary passports</em></p> <p style="text-align:justify">With the operation of direct flights between Vietnam and Kazakhstan in October 2022, the number of tourists from the two countries is gradually increasing. The two leaders agreed to expand cooperation to potential fields and believed that the signing of the Agreement on visa exemption for holders of ordinary passports and the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of tourism will contribute to enhancing tourism cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Accordingly, citizens of Vietnam and Kazakhstan are exempt from visas to enter, exit, transit, and temporarily stay in the territory of the other country for a period of not more than 30 days (previously Kazakhstan has unilaterally exempted visas for citizens of Vietnam from September 2019).</p>
