<p style="text-align:justify">The Vietnam Specialty Coffee Contest concluded with an awards ceremony held in the Central Highlands of Dak Lak on April 28.</p> <table> <tbody> <tr> <td style="text-align:justify"><img alt="The Vietnam Specialty Coffee Contest awards ceremony." src="https://image-en.nhandan.vn/w800/Uploaded/2024/kdrejwqxj/2024_04_29/img-1167-3247-1612.jpg" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td style="text-align:center">The Vietnam Specialty Coffee Contest awards ceremony.</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p style="text-align:justify">The contest was launched in September 2023 and saw the participation of 81 contestants from across the country who showcased 144 samples of robusta and arabica coffee.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">After the two preliminary rounds held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, a total of 42 samples, including 24 robusta samples and 18 arabica samples, were shortlisted for the final round.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Evaluation was conducted in accordance with regulations of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI).</p> <p style="text-align:justify">In the robusta category, the first prize went to the Vietnam Organic Agriculture and Food Company from Lam Dong Province, while second prize was awarded to Phan Em Coffee from Dak Lak Province. The third prize was presented to The Espresso Farm from Lam Dong Province.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The arabica coffee winner was the Quang Tri Province-based Pun Coffee, which also won the third prize. The second prize went to Ray Rung Limited Company from Kon Tum Province.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The Vietnam Specialty Coffee Contest is an annual event hosted by the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association. It was held for the first time within the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2019.</p>
