<p style="text-align:justify">(TITC) – Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) and Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), on 1 July in Seoul (Korea), signed MoU on tourism promotion in the 2025 - 2026 period.</p> <p style="text-align:justify"><a href="https://images.vietnamtourism.gov.vn/en//images/2024/jun/hq1.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="https://images.vietnamtourism.gov.vn/en//images/2024/jun/hq1.jpg" /></a></p> <p style="text-align:center"><em>The ceremony of awarding MoU on on culture, trade and tourism cooperation between the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organisation. Photo: VGP</em></p> <p style="text-align:justify">The cooperation document was signed and handed over under the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea Jang Mi Ran.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Accordingly, Vietnam and Korea will focus on enhancing the exchange of information and experiences in tourism development; improving tourist experience and increase two-way tourist exchange through tourism promotion activities and improving tour guide services; support each other in organizing and participating in tourism promotion events of each side.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The two sides will also support digital transformation in the tourism industry, promoting cooperation between experts and businesses in the field of smart tourism; support tourists from both sides to enhance their experience and facilitate tourism activities through Smart Travel Card of the two sides.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">The MoU will be a basis for further strengthening cooperation in promoting and exchanging visitors between Vietnam and Korea; coordinate management and ensure the quality of tourism services; encourage tourism businesses of both sides to cooperate, invest and do tourism business.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">In 2022, VNAT and KTO signed MoU on tourism promotion in the 2023 - 2024 period. Implementing the MoU, the two sides have supported each other in organizing many events such as Vietnam Tourism Roadshow within the framework of the Program "Korean Days in Hanoi" and "Vietnam Cultural and Tourism Festival in Korea"; attending international fairs such as VITM and ITE HCMC in Vietnam, SITF in Korea.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">In addition to bilateral cooperation activities, the two countries also promote cooperation within the multilateral framework with ASEAN and partner countries, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), and ASEAN - Korea Center (AKC). VNAT supports the activities of KTO office in Vietnam.</p>
