<p style="text-align:justify">Towards the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam, on March 26, 2022, in the flower city of Da Lat, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province coordinated with the Korean Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Organization in Ho Chi Minh City (KOTRA Ho Chi Minh); Representative Office of Korea Trade Association; Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee and Southern Investment Promotion Center IPCS (under the Department of Foreign Investment, Ministry of Planning and Investment) organized "Korean investment promotion program in Lam Dong and Dak Nong provinces" offline and online.</p> <p style="text-align:justify"><img alt="" src="https://dalat-info.gov.vn:444/uploads/20220412155552db0031b0aa7f64213d6e.jpg" /></p> <p style="text-align:justify">The program was chaired by Mr. Pham S - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Kwon Ki Man - Commercial Counselor, Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City and Mr. Kim Kwan Mook - Director of KOTRA TP. Ho Chi Minh; Attending the meeting were representatives of the Korean Chamber of Commerce, IPCS; departments and branches of Lam Dong and Dak Nong provinces; 16 enterprises of Lam Dong province, 6 enterprises of Dak Nong province; 14 Korean businesses attended in person and 19 Korean businesses attended online. Within the framework of the Program, Lam Dong province organized the Korean delegation to survey at 4 high-tech and smart agricultural projects in Lam Dong province.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Mr. Kwon Ki Man emphasized: Over the past 30 years, exchanges and cooperation between Vietnam and Korea have expanded significantly in almost all fields, including: politics, diplomacy, social-economy, culture... For Korea, Vietnam has maintained its position as a key cooperation partner in the New Southern Policy and one of the top three trade partners. For Vietnam, Korea is the number one investor in many fields; Investment fields are increasingly diversified, from manufacturing to high-tech industry, financial services... This program will help Korean companies considering investing in Vietnam to understand investment environment in Lam Dong and Dak Nong - two provinces with favorable conditions in the Central Highlands region of Vietnam.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Korean investors also highly appreciate the role of agriculture in the current period and the trend of cooperation with Vietnamese partners in the coming time. In the past, the perception of agriculture as an outdated industry was quite common. However, in recent years, high-tech agriculture, smart agriculture is developing. Agriculture is rapidly transforming into a high-tech industry and a promising future. Recently, not only global companies in developed countries such as the United States and Europe but also start-ups are actively participating in the agricultural market. Agriculture is rapidly developing into a high value-added industry combined with advanced technology. In that context, organizing the event in Lam Dong province, a promising investment area related to agriculture and tourism in Vietnam, is of great significance. Field visits will be of great help in improving understanding of the investment potential of Lam Dong and Dak Nong provinces.</p> <p style="text-align:justify">Hopefully, this event opens up a successful cooperation plan in combining investment between businesses of the two sides. In order to achieve the above goal, Korean businesses want to access preferential policies and commitments to support business investment of the authorities of Lam Dong and Dak Nong provinces.</p> <p style="text-align:justify"><img alt="" src="https://dalat-info.gov.vn:444/uploads/20220412155625cfd45a65c1aa0ff456bb.jpg" /></p> <p style="text-align:justify">Speaking at the program, Mr. Pham S - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said: Lam Dong is Vietnam's leading province in high-tech agricultural production, smart agriculture. Also, Da Lat city is the center of Vietnam tourism. It is the basis for developing diverse types of tourism and developing the field of post harvest processing and preserving agricultural products. In Lam Dong province, the transformation of the growth model from breadth to both breadth and depth has achieved remarkable results, especially in the development of high-tech agriculture, which has brought the agricultural sector to a new level. Lam Dong province's industry has made great progress. Dak Nong has similar characteristics to Lam Dong and together with Lam Dong province is developing 5 fields: hi-tech agriculture, eco-tourism, medicinal herbs, minerals, renewable energy. This program is a very useful space for exchange and cooperation. Through this interactive space, we are looking for partners to cooperate in investment and production expansion; search for product distributors; search, meet import and export units; sharing information on tastes and markets among the parties... On the basis of the extensive partnership between Vietnam and Korea, with the spirit of cooperation and development between businesses, Lam Dong province is committed to continue \to improve the investment and business environment and support investors; focus on reforming and simplifying administrative procedures; remove difficulties for businesses, always ensure that enterprises fully enjoy investment incentives.</p> <p style="text-align:justify"><em><strong> To Van Sanh</strong></em></p>
