Throughout nearly 60 years of working, including more than 13 years in his capacity as the leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong always defined that the consistent goal of the Vietnamese revolutionary cause is national independence associated with socialism, thereby contributing to realising the aspiration of making Vietnam a powerful country.

President To Lam on July 25 received Prime Minister Han Duck-soo of the Republic of Korea, President of the Cambodian People’s Party and Senate President Hun Sen, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval of India, and Minister of War Veterans and Rights Holders Laid Rebiga of Algeria who came to pay their respects to Vietnamese General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Vietnamese authorities are holding the State funeral of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Funeral House in Hanoi where his body is lying in state.
