Digital transformation is a key task and a breakthrough in implementing socio-economic development targets, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed while chairing the eighth meeting of the National Committee on Digital Transformation held on April 24 in Hanoi.

Vietnam is viewed as an attractive destination for foreign investors thanks to its stable growth rate, its large domestic market, along with its young and well-educated human resources, said Paulo Medas, head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) team to Vietnam, speaking at the Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank Group (WB) which was held recently in the US.

Vietnam's economy is showing mixed signs of recovery in early 2024, with growth forecast to reach 5.5% in 2024 and gradually rise to 6.0% by 2025, according to the latest World Bank Taking Stock bi-annual economic update released on April 23.

Vietnam’s economic growth is predicted to expand by about 6.5% this year based on numerous potentials, significant foreign direct investment, and ongoing efforts to improve the business environment and infrastructure.
