In foreign investors' eyes, Vietnam remains an important investment destination in the medium and long terms amidst the ongoing global supply chain restructuring, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI).
Ho Chi Minh City will play host to a trade promotion programme (Mega Us Expo 2024) from August 22 – 24 to increase connections between businesses of Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
Vietnam’s economy will expand by 6.55-6.95% this year, according to a July 9 report by the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) at a workshop on Vietnam’s economy in the first half and prospects for the whole year.
Vietnam expects to attract about US$39-40 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) capital this year, a figure which is equivalent or higher than the same period in 2023, said Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Quoc Phuong.
