(TITC) - On 11th August 2024, at Brunei National Airport, the Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei opened the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Space.

This is one of the Vietnamese Embassy's efforts to promote the image of the country, people and culture of Vietnam to the people of Brunei and friends around the world.

Speaking at the ceremony, H.E. Mr. Tran Anh Vu, Vietnamese Ambassador to Brunei, said, tourism and people-to-people exchange are among the priorities in the Vietnam-Brunei Comprehensive Partnership Implementation Program for the 2023-2027 period.

The Vietnam Tourism Promotion Space marks the first time a diplomatic mission has been allowed to use this public space, stated Vietnamese Ambassador Tran Anh Vu.

To maintain a beautiful space, attracting visitors to come and look for information, the Vietnamese Embassy will screen high-quality videos introducing the country and people of Vietnam, including famous tourist destinations such as Ninh Thuan, Nha Trang and Da Nang, etc.

In particular, the video about Ninh Thuan, where there is a Muslim community, aims to develop the similarities in Islam with Brunei.

In addition, the event also displayed the photo book Victory of Vietnam News Agency and many other publications on Vietnamese tourism and culture.

Many handicrafts as well as typical Vietnamese products such as coffee, dried fruits and agricultural products are also displayed in the space.

Royal Brunei Airlines General Director Sabirin Abdul Hamid said that the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Space is a product of passion between Vietnam and Brunei, specifically between the Vietnamese Embassy and Royal Brunei Airlines.

According to him, the current frequency of three flights per week from Brunei to Ho Chi Minh City is not commensurate with the potential for cooperation between the two countries.

He expressed hope that with the information provided by the Tourism Promotion Space, the potential for cooperation between the two countries will be further developed.
