(TITC) – On 30 August 2024, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Sun Pharma) - India's largest pharmaceutical group held the "Star Club" event in Ha Noi. To honor employees with outstanding achievements and positive contributions to the group, Sun Pharma chose and organized 5 days - 4 nights tour for 4,500 employees to Vietnam, visiting famous places in Ha Noi city, Ninh Binh and Quang Ninh provinces.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong affirmed that Vietnam - India relationship is at its strong stage of development in almost all fields, from politics, defense, security, economy... to culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchange. The two countries share precious historical values and a long-standing traditional friendship, which has been strengthened over many decades.
In July 2024, during the state visit of Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to India, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam signed two cooperation documents on culture, contributing to deepening the Vietnam - India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Star Club Awards Ceremony is the most important event of the year of Sun Pharma, and also a very meaningful event of Vietnam's tourism industry - welcoming 4,500 MICE Indian tourists. This is an affirmation that Vietnam is a trusted, safe and attractive destination for Indian and international tourists.
It is known that 4,500 Indian tourists divided into 6 groups, arriving in Vietnam from 27 August to 7 September 2024. On 27 August, the first group arrived Ha Noi, visited Hoa Lo Prison Relic, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Ba Dinh Square... Then, on 28 August, the group moved to Trang An Eco-tourism Area (Ninh Binh province) and had lunch there. On 29 August, the group boarded a cruise ship to visit Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh province) and enjoyed lunch on the ship.
To serve the Indian guests, the hotels have prepared a rich menu of traditional Indian cuisine, both vegetarian and vegan dishes. Vietnamese food such as pho, fish noodles, fish cakes and desserts made from green rice are also included in the menu.

According to statistics, Vietnam received 137 thousand Indian visitor arrivals in 2022, 392 thousands in 2023, and over 271 thousands in the first 7 months of 2024.
Identifying India as one of the major tourist source markets, Vietnam has recently opened many direct flights to big cities of India, organized promoting activities and prepared good conditions to attract Indian tourists to Vietnam.
