Magazine Travel+Leisure of the United States has named Vietnam among its top 12 perfect honeymoon destinations that won’t break the bank.
Magazine Travel+Leisure of the United States suggests that couples who like to hike should visit Fansipan Mountain in Sapa
According to the magazine, boasting several places which are generally less-expensive than Thailand's famous tourist destinations, Vietnam is home to a little something for every kind of honeymooner.
Travel+Leisure therefore suggests that couples who like to hike should visit the Valley of Love in Da Lat or enjoy the vast scenic views of the Muong Hoa Valley located 10 km southeast of Sa Pa, or head to Fansipan, the highest mountain in the country.
For those looking for a honeymoon filled with food and culture, the magazine recommends that couples should book a stay at the luxurious Sofitel Legend Metropole in Hanoi, a place where they will find an oasis sat amid the centre of a buzzing city.
“Honeymooners searching out beaches, spa, and relaxation will want to head to Con Dao, a group of islands off the coast that offers an affordable honeymoon filled with white-sand beaches and scenic trails,” it added.
Travel+Leisure also advises lovebirds to check out Con Dao's Six Senses resort, a place which is also a protected national and marine park that boasts a long beachfront.
Rounding off the list of the top 12 most affordable honeymoon destinations are Belize, Key Largo of the US, Bermuda, Jamaica, Napa and Sonoma of the US, Mexico, Honolulu of Hawaii, Costa Rica, Portugal, Niagara-on-the-Lake of Ontario in Canada, and Guatemala.
