Da Lat in Vietnam, the famous “Valley of Love”, a muse in many travel lovers’ eyes is without a doubt one of the most romantic destinations in Asia. Located in the Langbian Plateau, Da Lat is the largest city of the Central Highlands region in Vietnam. The city of thousand stunning flowers, dazzling landscapes and aurora filled with warmth. It is a big chance to enjoy the eternal spring and “unique season” in Da Lat. For those who are looking for a retreat trip and of course, a honeymoon trip, Da Lat is an ideal place for it.
The best time to visit Da Lat is from December to March. This time is the dry season, the weather is cool and sunny, suitable for all kinds of outdoor activities and is also the time when the city puts on a brilliant coat of various flowers such as white canola flowers (blooming from October to December), pink grass (from November to December) or yellow wild sunflowers (blooming from November to January).
Lien Khuong International Airport located about over 30km from Da Lat centre to the south, connects to major hubs from North to South of Vietnam. For foreign travellers, they can book a flight to Ho Chi Minh City then book a domestic flight to Da Lat. It takes 45 minutes to travel from Ho Chi Minh City to the destination. On the other hand, coaches will shuttle travellers from Ho Chi Minh City, while neighbouring Mui Ne and Nha Trang are just a few hours away by car or shuttle van.
Famous attractions in Da Lat include: Bao Dai Summer Palace, Crazy House, spectacular Waterfalls, Da Lat Market, Canyoning, Vast Lakes, Religious Sites, colourful Gardens.
Places visitors should visit while in Da Lat: Xuan Huong Lake, Crazy House, Da Lat Flower Park, Elephant Falls, Tuyen Lam Lake, Datanla Falls, Da Lat Market, Valley of Love, Statue of Golden Buddha, Lam Vien Square, Domaine De Marie Church, Lang Biang Trail, Bao Dai Summer Palace, Golden Valley.
Da Lat trip will not be fully accomplished without local specialties inspection. Must-try dishes include: Bread Shumai, Dalat Pizza, Grilled Corn and Sweet Potatoes, Nem Noung, Beef Noodles, Grilled Chicken with Bamboo-cooked Rice, Can Cake, Chicken stuffed Pancake, Stuffed Snail with Meat, and Char Siu Rice.
