The report on the socio-economic situation in February of 2023 and the first two months of 2023, published by the General Statistics Office (GSO) on February 28, shows a positive picture of Vietnam's international tourism arrivals.

Vietnam aims to welcome eight million international visitors by the end of 2023. According to the latest report, in the first two months of 2023, the number of international visitors to Vietnam is estimated at over 1.8 million, nearly one-quarter of this year’s target.
In February 2023 alone, Vietnam welcomed about 933,000 international visitors, up 7.1% over the previous month and 31.6 times higher than the same period last year. Which, Korea is still the largest market sending tourists to Vietnam, with an estimated 301,343 visitors. The second is the US market with an estimated 69,648 visitors.
In February 2023, visitors from China were estimated at 55,029 arrivals, before that, January only reached a modest number of 15,875 arrivals.
In terms of revenue from accommodation and catering services, the first two months of 2023 were estimated at 109.1 trillion VND, up 31.6% over the same period last year.
Regarding tourism and travel revenue, the first two months of 2023 are estimated at 4.7 trillion VND, 2.2 times higher than the same period last year, because this year, many provinces and cities re-opened spring activities to attract tourists.
Some localities with high tourism revenue include Hai Phong 17.5 times higher; Tay Ninh is 15.9 times higher; Da Nang is 7.1 times higher; Hanoi is 3.1 times higher; Ho Chi Minh City increased by 84.4%.
