VOV.VN - The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), under the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE) of the Republic of Korea (RoK), in collaboration with other organisations launched the Vietnam-Korea Plus Partnership Week 2024 on July 16 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The weeklong event is designed to ramp up bilateral economic ties and continue the trade and industrial promotion chain between Vietnam and the RoK.
With a specific focus on smart and environmentally friendly industries, the occasion aims to highlight sectors such as energy and the environment, health care, and smart agriculture as part of efforts to lay a foundation for future economic collaboration between the two countries.
Lee Ji Hyung, director of Economic and Commercial Cooperation at KOTRA, said that the event features several key activities, including B2B trade connections with Korean businesses in smart industries, a conference introducing prospective ODA and PPP projects in the southern region, and the Korea Buying Fair 2024.
The trade connection activity draws the participation from over 70 Korean enterprises and approximately 150 Vietnamese businesses, while the conference will introduce dozens of projects of interest to Korean contractors and financiers. The event will also attract the participation of around 40 Korean enterprises, including several major names.
The Korea Buying Fair 2024 will display and promote a diverse range of high-quality consumer goods from approximately 40 Korean manufacturers, including food, cosmetics, healthcare products, and beauty items.
The purpose of the occasion is provides Vietnamese consumers, especially enthusiasts of Korean products and culture, with an opportunity to experience and purchase high-quality consumer goods.
